  • chromadepth improvements:
    • ray-tracing support
    • chromadepth=2: post-lighting and luminance scaled
    • correct linear depth in non-orthoscopic projection

File types

  • fast MMTF load support

PyMOL v1.8.6.2 Hotfix Notes (June 26, 2017)

  • MAE export column aligned PDB names
  • MAE multi-entry import: make duplicated object names unique
  • MAE import: accept backslash outside quoted strings
  • restore “import cmd” prevention
  • restore scene_animation setting
  • MacPyMOL syspython: hard code PYTHONHOME=/usr to not get mixed up with any non-system Python (e.g. from Anaconda, MacPorts, etc.)
  • Mac X11-only: allow symlinks to launcher
  • Linux: support spaces in launcher path
  • Linux check libz compatibility
